I also earned “Life” and was an Explorer Scout. I just became aware of this negative action so I too would send my pin in, however, it is long gone as I believe Mom pitched it and my old uniform about the time I compeleted my first year of college, 54 years ago. What bothers me now is that our church has been the proud sponsor of a Troop for decades. Our congregation is very far from being anywhere near homophobic, just the opposite. Wonder what happens when they all become aware of this?
