Winter Sunrise

Winter Sunrise, 8:45 AM
It’s winter in Interior Alaska now. The leaves are down, the sun angle is low and getting lower, and there is even a trace of snow on the ground. But there is at least some compensation: long, slow, colorful sunrises and sunsets, and a view unobstructed by seasonal greenery. Photography is all about light. In the winter, in Fairbanks, you use what light you can find.

Does one blend into the other or do you have some actual daylight?

It all changes at the rate of about an hour a week. In December and January, in these latitudes, sunrise/sunset is pretty much a blend.
