WC’s mother enjoined WC never to speak ill of the dead. In the case of Andrew Breitbart, it’s very hard to be a dutiful son. In the words of David Frum,
When one of the leading media figures of the day achieves his success by his giddy disdain for truth and fairness—when one of our leading political figures offers to his admirers a politics inflamed by rage and devoid of ideas—how to withhold a profoundly negative judgment on his life and career?
As just one example, if WC’s difficulty, Breitbart’s selective editing of the Shirley Sherrod video, intentionally making it highly deceptive and misleading, set a low mark for all bloggers. Wherever Breitbart is now, he has some ‘splain’ to do.
An English Pratchett fan WC knows had as her signature tagline, “If you can’t be a good example, you’ll just have to be a horrible warning.”
WC suggests that as an epitaph.
Perhaps a good occasion to use ambiguity, if not double entendre:
He leaves the world a better place…….

Breitbart has written his own epitaph. So be it.

WC, this is not the right place to post this, but your Sarah Palin columns all seem to be closed for comments . . . Anyway, I was hoping you would write about this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/03/sarah-palin-allen-west_n_1318852.html (Quitter endorses war criminal for Veep)
Allen West got kicked out of the Army (=he resigned rather than face a court-martial for ignoring orders from his commanding officer) and ignorant Floridians elected him to Congress. Now Sarah wants him to be Veep. Please write about this.

Wickersham’s Conscience is a Palin-free zone. When she officially declared she was not a candidate for President, she became irrelevant. Her pitiful efforts on talk shows and Facebook to seem relevant speak for themselves. She craves attention. WC declines to provide it.
WC will look in to Allen West. But the presidential candidates are nauseating enough; WC isn’t sure he has a strong enough stomach to look at veep trash, too.
