Telling a Story with Photos: What the Plover Did


If you are a birder, you know that this is the time of the years when baby birds are being fledged. There are anxious parents everywhere. WC was out at one his favorite spots and came across this very handsome Semipalmated Plover, a small shorebird.

Apparently, WC was too close to the kids, so the Plover treated WC to old broken wing routine.

It went on for a little while, and then the bird seemed to check if it was working.

WC tried not to bother the kids or worry the parents any further, and left them to business of survival.

But it’s good to see the next generation, and know the kids are all right.
