Favorite Webcomics: The Pencilsword


It’s been a long time since WC shared a favorite webcomic. This one is Toby Morris’s The Pencilsword, which runs in the Auckland, New Zealand on-line news journal, The Wireless. Here’s a sample (click on the cartoon to see the whole piece):

The pieces are thoughtful, lightly animated and self-deprecatng. Some of the cartoons focus on Kiwi issues that don’t have a lot of relevance in the States. But many, like the one linked above, are universal. For example, here’s a recent cartoon on Iran’s shameful treatment of cartoonist Atena Farghadani:
