Not just Jeff MacNelly’s best political cartoon; it’s WC’s all time favorite political cartoon ever.

Using computer software, copious on-line references, three reams of paper and two file drawers of records, WC has once again undertaken WC’s and Mrs. WC’s joint tax return.

WC is a little nervous about the alternative minimum tax calculations, which requires advanced calculus and n-dimensional transformations to be calculated correctly. WC was sure he saw  smoke coming out of the computer as it churned through the AMT.

Charitable contributions, in particular, are excruciatingly tedious to enter in TurboTax.

The whole business is much like a colonscopy: gut-churning, personally offensive, noisome and embarrassing. Except there’s no comparable feeling of relief when your tax return is completed. Big Brother may very well be auditing you.
